Dr. Imani is a certified specialist facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Perth. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), the only official body training and representing specialist surgeons in Australia.

Dr. Imani is a certified specialist Head & Neck Surgeon with significant expertise and training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Perth. Dr Imani restricts his practice solely in the field of facial plastic surgery. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), the only official body training and representing specialist surgeons in Australia RACS.
Dr Imani has studied in Perth Modern School and Applecross Senior High school. Dr Imani earned his primary medical degree from the University of Western Australia, graduating with Honours in 1999. He started work as an intern at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital SCGH QEII, one of the four main premier teaching hospitals in Perth in1998. Dr Imani completed one year of surgical residency prior to being accepted as a training surgical registrar in general, endocrine colorectal and trauma surgery. He worked for a year at Royal Perth Hospital and SCGH. Dr Imani was then accepted into the prestigious national Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery programme ran by RACS and ASOHNS. In the first year of this five year training programme, Dr Imani went on to complete his Masters of Surgery degree (Head & Neck Surgery) at the University of Melbourne also graduating with Honours under the guidance of Prof Graeme Clark and Prof Stephen O'Leary at the Bionic Ear Institute. He then returned to Perth Western Australia for a further four years to complete his specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, and Fremantle Hospitals. Dr Imani completed his exit examination at the Court of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007 and was admitted as a Fellow of the RACS.
Dr Imani then embarked on post fellowship training in international centres of excellence in Facial Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery. He has completed the prestigious European fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery under the guidance of the ex-president of the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Society and the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, Prof. G. Nolst Trenité in Amsterdam. and Dr H Vuyk in Blaricum and the president of the German Aesthetic-Plastic Surgeons, Prof. W. Gubisch in Marien Hospital Stuttgart
Dr Imani went on to train further in North America, under Prof. Ted Cook (ex-president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) and Prof. Tom Wang, past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to further his education in facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Lastly, Dr Imani completed the Brazilian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship under the guidance of Prof. J. Maniglia, the ex-president of the Brazilian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.
Since becoming a specialist surgeon in 2007, Dr Imani has completed two sabbatical fellowships with Dr Neil Gordon in New York, USA (2019 and 2024), Dr Gordon is arguably the pioneer in modernising the deep plane facelift surgery as we know it today.
Dr Imani returned to Perth from his post specialist training fellowship in 2009 to start his dual Private and Public Practice.
Limiting his practice to only the face, Dr Imani specialises in rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, aesthetic rhinoplasty, reconstructive rhinoplasty, cosmetic eyelid surgery, deep plane facelift surgery, mini facelift surgery, and non-surgical facial treatments.
Dr Imani takes frequent Sabbaticals to the United States of America and Europe to engage with his colleagues and remain contemporary, whilst maintaining classical safe surgical skills.
He is a consultant surgeon at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Nedlands SCGH, he is actively involved in teaching specialist surgical trainees, junior doctors and medical students both in the teaching hospitals SCGH and the CTEC facilities located in the University of Western Australia.
Dr Imani is the head of surgical (head and Neck, facial plastic surgery) training at SCGH.
